Any time we pray corporately or personally, we are looking first for the presence of God and then breakthrough for whatever it is we are praying about.
Tuesday I spent the day with the Lord. There was a real strong presence in my time with Him. I felt that since our Tuesday night corporate prayer meeting was going to end with praying over all the teachers of Trinity Christian School (our church school), public school teachers and admins etc., it seemed right to land on wisdom scriptures.
As we entered into worship, the night morphed into something different. Justin (leading worship for this prayer night) and I ended up going back and forth in singing and worship. The reason I find this particularly interesting is that we witnessed the old with the new (maybe I shouldn’t call myself old! Lol!) It was new music and old, it was a young leader and (older) leader. Smile. It was the reminder that God is the God of diversity. In the Kingdom of God, age, race, gender, or any other thing that would polarize people doesn’t matter. We are in Christ. You can see it in this prayer time.
John 17:20-21 (NKJV)
20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
God moved among us. You may not be able to see on the video, but the altars filled with worshippers who were there to pray. I felt rain on my face at one point! All ages, all races, all genders, sizes and personalities worshipped and prayed together. That is what Kingdom does! We did get around to praying over teachers and others and I did get to use some of the wisdom scriptures. It was a powerful night and start to a new school year.
The following Sunday, we experienced a move of the Holy Spirit much the same. There was a loud roar of praise and expressions of joy over the several thousand that gathered in the 11 am service in Cedar Hill, Texas. Kingdom at work!
